shrimp in avacado cream sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/4 C butter
  • 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
  • 1/2 C heavy cream
  • 1/2 C mashed ripe avocado
  • 1/2 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • ground pepper to taste

Directions

  1. saute garlic in butter 1 to 2 minutes until soft but not browned

  2. pour in cream and bring to a simmer

  3. whisk in avocado until smooth

  4. return to a simmer

  5. add shrimp

  6. cook over medium-low heat until the shrimp turn opaque

  7. sprinkle with pepper and serve
