Ingredients
- Oat layer:
- - 3 cups quick oats (240 g)
- - 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey (42 g)
- - 2 tbsp coconut oil or butter (28 g)
- - 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce or mashed banana (120 g)
- - 1 tsp vanilla extract
- - 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- Filling:
- - 1/2 cup creamy nut butter (I did peanut butter - 128 g)
- - 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips (112 g)
Directions

Melt coconut oil and mix with applesauce, maple syrup and vanilla. Fold in oats and salt. Set aside.

Melt chocolate and peanut butter in the microwave (I do small increments on defrost setting). Mix until smooth.

Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper and press firmly 2/3 of the oat mixture, then layer with the chocolate and sprinkle the remaining 1/3 oat mixture on top, pressing down gently. Freeze until firm. Thaw for 5 minutes before slicing into 16 squares. Enjoy friends!
