Ingredients
- Crust:
- - 1 1/2 cup white whole wheat flour
- - 1/4 cup oil (I used avocado)
- - 1/4 cup water
- - pinch salt
- Filling:
- - 12 medjool dates pitted chopped (about 200 gr)
- - 1/2 cup hot water
- - 1/2 cup milk (I used 2%)
- - 3 tbsp cornstarch
- - 1 tsp vanilla
- - 1/4 tsp salt
- - 1 cup chopped pecans
- - optional 2 tbsp mini chocolate chips.

For the crust, combine water and oil until mixed, pour into flour and form a ball of dough. Press in a muffin tin and bake for 10 minutes.

For the filling let the dates soak in the hot water until water cools. Don’t discard the water. Blend with other ingredients except pecans. Fold in half the pecans, pour into muffin tin, top with the remaining pecans (and optional chocolate for another 10 cal or so) and bake another 15-20 minutes. Enjoy!
