Coffee Liquor

Ingredients

  • 4 oz freeze dried Maxim instant coffee
  • 8 cups sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 20 Coffee Beans
  • 1.75 liter vodka

Directions

  1. Boil water. Add sugar to simmering water. Stir until mixture becomes clear.

  2. Remove from heat.

  3. Add coffee, stir till dissolved completely.

  4. Let mixture cool to room temperature.

  5. Split and chop vanilla bean.

  6. Place mixture in two gallon container. Add vodka and vanilla bean.

  7. Cap for three months, turning every 30 days.

  8. Strain through layered cheese cloth into 4/5 quart liquor or wine bottles.

  9. Add 2 coffee beans to each bottle.
