Sweet and Spicy Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. package trimmed fresh green beans
  • 3 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp chili-garlic sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp honey
  • 2 tsp canola oil
  • Sliced toasted almonds, for garnish

Directions

  1. Put green beans in a steamer basket set in a large skillet over boiling water; steam 3-4 minutes. Remove basket and drain skillet.

  2. Meanwhile, stir together soy sauce, garlic, chili-garlic sauce, and honey in a bowl.

  3. Heat oil in skillet over medium heat. Add green beans; cook until crisp-tender, 3-5 minutes. Stir in soy sauce mixture and continue cooking, stirring, until liquid is nearly evaporated, about 2 minutes. Garnish with almonds.
