Sweet, Sticky, and Spicy Chicken

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 2 tsp chopped fresh ginger
- 2 tsp chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp. hot sauce, or more to taste
- 1 tbsp. packed brown sugar
- 4 chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch strips
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil, or more as needed
- Hot rice, for serving

Mix together soy sauce, honey, ginger, garlic, hot sauce, and brown sugar in a small bowl. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Working in batches (add more oil as needed between batches), add chicken and brown on both sides, about 1 minute per side. Pour sauce over chicken. Simmer, uncovered, until sauce thickens, 8-10 minutes. Serve with hot rice.
