butter pecan maple syrup

Simmer syrup with butter and toasted pecans for a rich flavor.
Add a pinch of salt and a dash of vanilla extract to heighten other flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup pecans , toasted and chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch table salt

Directions

  1. Simmer all ingredients in small saucepan over medium-low heat until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
