Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup plain yellow cornmeal
- 1 tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/8 tsp ground red pepper
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 tbsp. chopped fresh sage

Preheat oven to 400. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt and red pepper. Using a pastry blender, cut in cold butter until mixture is crumbly. Add milk, bacon and sage, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Drop 8 mounds of dough onto prepared pan.

Bake until golden brown, 18-20 minutes. Let cool on pan for 5 minutes. Serve warm.
