Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2-1/4 + 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375*F

  2. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl; set aside

  3. Beat butter, sugars, and vanilla in a large bowl until smooth and creamy

  4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition

  5. Gradually beat in flour mixture

  6. Stir in chocolate chips by hand

  7. Chill cookie dough 30-60 minutes, if time allows

  8. Drop rounded tablespoons full onto ungreased baking sheets

  9. Bake for 9-11 minutes until golden brown

  10. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely
