BEER Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 13/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup stout beer, room temperature

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, and line 12 muffin cups with paper liners.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt, and set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar with a mixer until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla and mix again.

  4. Reduce mixer speed to low. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the sour cream and beer, and mix until all are combined.

  5. Evenly fill muffin cups with batter and bake for about 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool completely before frosting.
