Cuban Stromboli

Ingredients

  • 5 oz. whole-wheat pizza dough
  • 4 thin slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices salami
  • 3 slices deli ham
  • 3 slices deli turkey
  • 1 kosher pickle spear, quartered lengthwise
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 tsp water
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Yellow mustard, for serving

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450.

  2. Roll out pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a 12×6-inch rectangle. Layer on Swiss, salami, ham, turkey and pickle. Roll up, starting at a long edge, into a tight roll, pinching the seams together. Place on a baking sheet. Cut a few slits on top. Whisk egg yolk and water in a small bowl and brush over the top. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

  3. Bake until golden, about 15 minutes. Slice and serve with mustard.
