Seasoned Taco Meat

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. ground beef
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 2 cups water
  • 5 tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

Directions

  1. In a large skillet or Dutch oven, cook the beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add water and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until the water is absorbed, about 15 minutes.
