Ingredients
- 1 cup soft butter
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 & 1/3 cup ground blanched almonds
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 1/4 cups confectioners sugar with 1/2 tsp nutmeg mixed in
Directions

Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla and almonds. Sift flour and nutmeg into butter and mix well. Shape into small balls 3/4" diameter and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake 25 min at 300 until bottoms are lightly browned and cookies are set. Let stand for 2 min, then roll in powdered sugar/nutmeg mixture and place on wire rack to cool completely. Roll again in sugar before storing. Makes ~5 dozen.
