Ingredients
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 lb. ground sirloin
- 1 tbsp. Montreal steak seasoning
- 1 small sweet onion, chopped
- 1 medium red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 28 oz. can whole plum tomatoes, undrained
- 3/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp. ketchup
- 1 1/2 hot sauce
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
- Garnish: shredded Parmesan, chopped parsley

In a medium Dutch oven, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add beef and steak seasoning; cook until browned and crumbly, about 8 minutes. Drain.

Add onion, bell pepper and garlic to pot; cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in tomatoes, 3/4 cup water, ketchup, hot sauce, and basil; bring to a low boil. Reduce heat to medium; cover and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally and using the back of a spoon to break up tomatoes.

Stir in macaroni; cook until heated through, about 5 minutes. Garnish with cheese and parsley.
