Slow Cooker Barbecued Beef Ribs

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp. yellow mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 lb. beef short ribs or back ribs
  • Sliced green onion, for garnish

Directions

  1. Stir together ketchup, tomato paste, brown sugar, vinegar, water, mustard, and salt in a slow cooker, stirring to dissolve brown sugar and salt.

  2. Add ribs and turn to coat. Cook, covered, until tender, about 4 hours on HIGH or 8 hours on LOW. Transfer ribs with a slotted spoon to a platter and skim fat from sauce. Serve with sauce and garnish with green onion.
