Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef, ground pork, or a blend of the two
- 1 cup finely chopped carrot
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 6 oz. can tomato paste
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- 1 lb. spaghetti, prepared as directed
Directions

Cook meat, carrot, onion and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until meat is browned.

Transfer (undrained) to a slow cooker. Stir in crushed tomatoes, milk, tomato paste, salt, basil, oregano, black pepper and red pepper flakes. Cover and cook on LOW 8 hours. Stir in 1/4 cup Parmesan. Serve over pasta topped with additional Parmesan.
