Ingredients
- 3 to 4 lbs chicken pieces
- 1 1/2 cups dry sherry
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 bay leaves
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 15oz can tomato puree
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tbs molasses
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp dried thynme
- 1/4 tsp red pepper
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbs white vinegar
Directions

Stir together sherry, onion, lemon juice,bay leaves and garlic. Pour over chicken in plastic bag and marinade 3 to 4 hours, Drain chicken, reserving marinade. For sauce, combine reserved marinade, tomatoe puree, honeyh, molasses, salt, thyme, red pepper and pepper. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered about 30 minutes or until reduced to 2 cups. Remove bay leaves and add vinegar. Grill over indiredt heat for 50 to 60 minultes, basteing with sauce last 15 minutres.
