Barbecue Bacon Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. Creole seasoning
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 3 large chicken breasts, halved lengthwise
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375.

  2. In a small bowl, stir together brown sugar, Creole seasoning, and paprika. Wrap 1 bacon slice around each chicken breast half, and secure with a wooden pick.

  3. In a large ovenproof skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook until bacon begins to crisp, 2-3 minutes per side. Sprinkle brown sugar mixture onto chicken.

  4. Bake until cooked through, 12-15 minutes. Brush chicken with barbecue sauce. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
