Ingredients
- 1 cup walnut halves
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt, plus more to taste
- 1/8 tsp black pepper, plus more to taste
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, plus more to taste
Directions

In a nonstick skillet, combine the walnuts, sugar, butter, salt and black pepper. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until the sugar melts, coats the nuts, and darkens, 5-6 minutes. Transfer to a plate and sprinkle with the cayenne. Let cool, then break apart. Season with more salt, black pepper or cayenne.
