Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 2 tsp Worcestershire
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 4 slices sharp cheddar
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 burger buns, split
- 4 slices tomato
- 4 lettuce leaves
- Pickles, ketchup, and mustard

Mix together beef, Worcestershire, garlic powder and cayenne in a large bowl. Divide mixture into eight 3-oz. balls, then press into patties about 4 inches in diameter.

Cut a 3.5 inch round from each cheese slice using a round cookie cutter. Sprinkle 4 patties with 1/4 tsp each salt and black pepper, then top with cheese rounds and leftover cheese pieces. Top with remaining 4 patties and gently press edges together to seal. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 tsp salt and pepper.

Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill patties 5 minutes per side. Serve on buns with tomato, lettuce, pickles, ketchup and mustard.
