Ingredients
- 4 bacon slices, chopped
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp. maple syrup
- Chocolate Sheet Cake (see recipe)
- 2 tbsp. bacon drippings
- Frosting:
- Vanilla Frosting (see recipe)
- 1/2 tsp maple extract

For the cake: Cook bacon slices in vegetable oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat, stirring, until crisp; pour the drippings into a small bowl. Add maple syrup to the skillet and cook until the bacon is coated, 1 to 2 minutes; pour onto a piece of parchment paper and let cool. Make Chocolate Sheet Cake, adding bacon drippings with the vegetable oil.

For the frosting: Make Vanilla Frosting, adding maple extract with the vanilla. Frost the cake and top with the bacon.
