Ingredients
- Chocolate Sheet Cake (see recipe)
- Chocolate Frosting (see recipe)
- Topping:
- 1 cup half-and-half
- 6 tbsp. butter
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup golden syrup
- 3 egg yolks
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 1/2 cups toasted chopped pecans

Make Chocolate Sheet Cake.

Make Chocolate Frosting.

For the topping: Heat half-and-half, butter, light brown sugar, golden syrup, egg yolks and salt in a medium saucepan over medium heat, whisking constantly, until slightly thickened but still runny. Pour over coconut and pecans in a bowl. Toss and let cool (it will thicken). Meanwhile, frost the cake and refrigerate until set. Top with the coconut-pecan mixture.
