Asparagus Gratin

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. asparagus
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • Pinch each of salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp. grated pecorino
  • 1 tbsp. chopped thyme
  • 1 tbsp. butter, melted

Directions

  1. Toss asparagus with olive oil and salt and pepper in a 3-quart baking dish. Roast at 425 until crisp-tender, 10 to 12 minutes. Mix breadcrumbs, pecorino, thyme and butter. Sprinkle over the asparagus. Broil until the breadcrumbs are golden 2-4 minutes.
