Ingredients
- 3 tbsp. vegetable oil, divided
- 1 cup chopped yellow onion
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 lbs. chicken wings
- 3/4 cup honey
- 6 tbsp. Sriracha
- 1 1/2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 3/4 tsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp. chopped green onion

Spray a slow cooker with cooking spray.

In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp. oil over medium-high heat. Add yellow onion; cook until lightly browned, about 2 minutes. Transfer to slow cooker.

In same skillet, heat 1 tbsp. oil over medium-high heat. Sprinkle salt and pepper all over chicken. Add half of chicken, skin side down, to skillet. Cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer to slow cooker. Repeat procedure with remaining 1 tbsp. oil and remaining chicken.

In a small bowl, whisk together honey, Sriracha, soy sauce and onion powder. Pour two-thirds of mixture all over chicken; reserve remaining honey sauce. Cover slow cooker.

Cook until cooked through, about 4 hours on LOW. Transfer chicken to a serving platter; drizzle with reserved honey sauce and sprinkle with green onion.
