Bacon-Stuffed Cheesy Garlic Rolls

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. bag deli pizza dough, room temp
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp white Cheddar, divided
  • 1 cup crumbled cooked bacon, divided
  • 4 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley, divided
  • 1 tbsp. minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper

Directions

  1. Spray a 10-inch round cake pan or ovenproof skillet with cooking spray.

  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a 16×10-inch rectangle. Spread butter onto dough, leaving a 1-inch border on all sides.

  3. In a small bowl, stir together 1 cup cheese, 3/4 cup bacon, 2 tbsp. parsley, garlic, salt and pepper; sprinkle onto butter. Starting at one long side, roll dough into a log, pinching seam to seal. Turn log seam side down, and cut into 10 slices; place slices, cut side up, in prepared pan. Cover and let rise in a warm, draft-free place until doubled in size, about 45 minutes.

  4. eheat oven to 350.

  5. Bake for 18 minutes. Top with remaining 1/2 cup cheese and remaining 1/4 cup bacon. Bake until cheese is melted, abut 5 minutes more. Let cool in pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes. Top with remaining 2 tbsp. parsley. Serve immediately.
