Ingredients
- 16 strips bacon
- 4 lbs. ground beef
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 2 tsp Worcestershire
- 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 6 to 8 dashes hot sauce
- Vegetable oil, for the grill
- 8 slices cheddar
- 3 tbsp salted butter, softened
- 8 kaiser rolls, split Iceberg, tomato slices and dill pickle slices, for topping
Directions
-
Preheat a grill to medium. Meanwhile, set a large skillet over medium heat. Working in batches, cook the bacon, turning occasionally, until crispy, 5 to 6 minutes. Remove to a paper towel-lined plate.
-
Put the ground beef in a large bowl. Add the heavy cream, Worcestershire, salt, pepper and hot sauce. Mix the meat well with your hands. Form into 8 patties.
-
Oil the grill grates. Grill the patties until charred, about 3 minutes per side for medium doneness; top each with a slice of cheese in the last 2 minutes of cooking.
-
Butter the rolls, then toast on the grill, about 1 minute.
-
Place the patties on the rolls and top each with a lettuce leaf, tomato slice, some pickle slices and 2 strips of bacon.
