Easy Apple Kuchen

My mother used to make this back in the 1960’s thru 1970’s. I lost her original recipe but this is very close.
Ingredients
- Crust--
- 1/2 cup butter or good quality margarine
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- Apple Layer--
- 1 20 ounce can sliced apples, drain well (not pie filling
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Drizzle--
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions

Crust — Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease and flour a 13×9 baking dish.

In a bowl, cut the butter into the dry cake mix until crumbly. Mix in pecans.

Press the mixture lightly into an ungreased 9 × 13 baking dish building up a slight edge.

Bake 10 minutes.

Apple Layer — Take the pan out of the oven and carefully arrange apple slices on the warm crust.

Mix 1/3 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon together and sprinkle over the apples.

Drizzle — Blend sour cream, egg, salt, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.

Drizzle over the apples.

Bake for 25 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Do not over bake.
