Apple Crisp

Ingredients

  • 6 large tart apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 T. lemon juice
  • 3/4 c. flour or rolled oats
  • pinch of salt
  • 6T butter
  • 1/3 to 1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions

  1. Place the apples in a bowl

  2. Mix in 1/4 c. of brown sugar and 1/4 cup. of the white sugar

  3. Stir in cloves, cinnamon, and lemon juice.

  4. Put mixture in buttered casserole or baking pan

  5. Mix the rest of the brown and white sugars with the flour/oats and salt and cut in butter till crumbly. Add the nuts.

  6. Spread over top.

  7. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees or till top is brown.
