Ingredients
- Sauce:
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 6 fresh garlic cloves
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 cans (14.5 oz.) tomatoes
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/4 cup sweet creamy butter, cut into 1-inch cubes, chilled

- Pasta:
- 1 lb. gnocchi
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Directions
-
Place the olive oil, garlic, and chili flakes in a cold pan and cook over medium heat.
-
When the garlic starts turning golden brown, add the wine and broth and bring the mixture to a simmer.
-
After about 10 minutes, the broth should be halved. When that happens, add in the tomatoes and basil and then let the sauce continue simmering for another 30 minutes.
-
Once the sauce has thickened, set it aside to cool for 3 minutes.
-
After 3 minutes, place the sauce in a blender and add the butter and Parmesan. Puree eveyrthing together and set aside.
-
Prepare the pasta by boiling the gnocchi in a large pot. When it is cooked, strain the pasta and mix with the sauce.
-
Transfer everything to a plate and serve.
