Butterhorn rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 can evaaporated milk
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 3 eggs
  • All purpose white flour

Directions

  1. Mix 1 can evaporated milk or 1/2 c. warm water. Let cool.

  2. Add stick of butter, sugar, salt

  3. Cooled to lukewarm add one cup flour. Beat

  4. Add 1 pkg yeast dissolved in 1/4 cup water.

  5. Add three eggs. Beat well.

  6. Add 3 1/2 -3 3/4 cups all purpose flour

  7. Hand knead 5-8 minutes

  8. Place dough in greased bowl, turn, cover

  9. Let sit 2 1/2 hours

  10. Turn on light floured surface, divide into thirds.

  11. Roll each third out in a circle. Cut in 12 pieces. Brush with melted butter. Roll from big end to small with the point down.

  12. Grease baking sheet. Cover let rise about 1 hour

  13. Bake at 400 degrees 10-12 minutes.
