Ingredients
- 3 tbsp olive oil, divided
- 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
- 4 strip steaks
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tsp black pepper
- Salt

Heat 2 tbsp oil in medium skillet over medium heat. Add onions; cook and stir 15 to 20 minutes or until soft and golden brown.

Meanwhile, prepare grill for direct cooking. Rub steaks with remaining 1 tbsp oil and garlic. Sprinkle pepper over both sides of steaks.

Grill steaks over medium-high heat 10 to 12 minutes until desired doneness, turning twice to obtain cross-hatch grill marks. Season with salt; serve with onions.
