Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 8 oz. can ale or lager
- 1/2 cup half-and-half
- 4 oz. shredded smoked gouda
- 2 tsp coarse grain mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp ground red pepper
- Dash ground nutmeg
- Apple slices and cooked potato wedges, for serving
Directions

Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium heat. Sprinkle with flour; whisk until smooth. Stir in beer and half-and-half; bring to a boil. Cook and stir 2 minutes. Stir in cheese, mustard, Worcestershire, salt and ground red pepper; cook and stir until cheese is melted.

Coat inside of slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Fill with warm fondue. Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve with apples and potatoes.
