Green Beans with Bacon

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. green beans, trimmed
  • Ice water
  • 2 bacon slices
  • 1/3 cup chopped green onion
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Boil green beans 4 minutes. Drain, plunge into ice water, and drain again. Chop bacon; cook in a skillet over medium-high heat until crisp. Stir in cooked green beans, green onion, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Cook until warmed through.
