Ingredients
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 1 cup stone-ground grits
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar
- 4 oz. can chopped green chiles
- 2 tbsp cream cheese
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
Directions

In a large saucepan, bring milk and stock to a boil over medium-high heat. Slowly whisk in grits, salt and pepper. Reduce heat, cover and simmer, stirring frequently, until grits are tender and creamy, about 30 minutes.

Remove grits from heat; stir in Cheddar, chiles, cream cheese, and butter until well combined.
