Ingredients
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1 box of Steakums (7 slices)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 15 oz. jar of Cheez Wiz
- 10 egg roll wraps
- 2 cups vegetable oil, for frying
Directions
-
Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook, stirring frequently, for 2 to 3 minutes, until onion is translucent.
-
Break up the Steakums pieces and add to the skillet. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste; cook and stir until steak is no longer pink (about 6 or 7 minutes). Remove from heat and set aside.
-
Place an egg roll wrap on a clean, dry surface with a corner facing you, like a baseball diamond.
-
Place 2 tbsp of beef and onions onto the center of an egg roll wrap and top with 1 to 2 tbsp of Cheese Wiz. Don’t overfill your wrapper.
-
Fold the corner closest to you over mixture, then flap side corners over and roll. Use water or an egg wash to seal roll.
-
Heat and fill a high-sided pan with 1 inch of oil. Slowly add the rolls to oil and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until golden brown on all sides.
-
Drain on paper towels, and serve warm with ketchup.
