Steak ’N Shake Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 small diced onion
  • 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
  • 10.5 oz. can Campbell's French onion soup
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp cocoa
  • 2 15-oz. cans chili beans
  • 6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup cola

Directions

  1. Place oil, onion and ground beef in a large stockpot over medium heat.

  2. Cook the beef for 7 to 9 minutes, until it has browned. Drain the excess oil.

  3. Add the onion soup and simmer for a few minutes.

  4. Add the rest of the ingredients to the pot.

  5. Simmer on the stove for 1 hour.
