Ingredients
- 5 lbs. hamburger
- 2 small onions, finely chopped
- 64 oz. Hunt's tomato paste
- 64 oz. Hunt's tomato puree
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp pepper
- 1 tbsp celery seed
- 3 tbsp plus 1 tsp salt
Directions

Brown the hamburger and onions in a large skillet. Drain the excess oil.

Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 3 1/2 hours.

Stir frequently so that the sauce will not stick to the pan.
