Ingredients
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 3/4 cup oats, powdered
- 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp almonds, finely sliced
- 3 tbsp walnuts, sliced
- Syrup, for serving
Directions

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

As pan preheats, pulverize oats in a blender until powdered. Then, add to a large bowl with flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix well.

Add buttermilk, oil, egg and sugar in a separate bowl. Mix with an electric mixer until creamy.

Mix in wet ingredients with dry ingredients, then add nuts. Mix everything together with electric mixer.

Scoop 1/3 cup of batter and cook in the hot pan for at least 2 minutes or until both sides turn brown. Transfer onto a plate, then repeat for the remaining batter.

Serve with syrup.
