Sweet Cornbread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 to 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup frozen corn

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix the cornmeal, flour, sugar, and baking powder.

  2. Next, add the melted butter, vegetable oil, egg, honey and milk and mix it up.

  3. Add the corn and stir again.

  4. Grease your slow cooker with nonstick spray and pour in the batter.

  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
