Garlic Kissed Carbonara Bacon Mac & Cheese Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Macaroni Elbow Pasta
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 4 Strips of Chopped Nueske’s Bacon or any bacon of your choice
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 Cups Milk
  • Garlic
  • 1/2 Cup Grated Pecorino Romano
  • 1/2 Cup Grated White Cheddar
  • Panko
  • Crushed Red Pepper
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese

Directions

  1. Cook macaroni pasta in salted boiling water until al dente.

  2. While pasta is cooking, cook bacon and render out the bacon fat.

  3. When crispy, remove bacon.

  4. Whisk together egg, heavy cream, milk, garlic, pecorino romano, white cheddar, salt, and pepper.

  5. Toss pasta into bacon fat and then turn off heat.

  6. Toast panko crumbs in a skillet.

  7. Pour egg mixture over pasta and toss until cheese is melted. Make sure your eggs don’t scramble!

  8. Add some pasta water if your carbonara sauce becomes too thick.

  9. Top with panko crumbs, crushed red pepper, bacon bits, and parmesan cheese.

  10. Enjoy!
