Mustard Cream Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken stock, heated
  • 5 to 6 tbsp Dijon
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh tarragon
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh chives
  • Salt and black pepper

Directions

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the flour and cook, stirring, a few minutes. Gradually add the stock, whisking constantly. Whisk in the mustard and cream and simmer until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the herbs and season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve hot.
