Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 3 1/2 cups bread flour
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp cornmeal
Directions
-
In a small bowl, stir together 1 1/4 cups warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let stand until foamy, about 5 minutes.
-
In the work bowl of a food processor, place flour and salt; pulse until combined. With processor running, add yeast mixture and oil in a slow, steady stream until mixture forms a ball.
-
Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 2 minutes.
-
Spray a medium bowl with cooking spray. Place dough in bowl, turning to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm, draft-free place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
-
Sprinkle a 16-inch round baking sheet with cornmeal.
-
On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into an 16-inch circle. Place on prepared pan.
