Toasted Rice

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup jasmine rice

Directions

  1. In a dry heavy skillet, toast the rice over medium heat, stirring and tossing often and watching closely so it doesn’t burn, until deep brown, 12 to 14 minutes. Transfer to a plate to cool completely, then blend in a blender on high speed for 10 to 15 seconds. Store the rice in an airtight container.
