Fried Chicken Thighs

Ingredients

  • AMOUNTS APPROXIMATE:
  • 4 bone-in, skin-on Chicken Thighs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • Olive Oil
  • And any other seasonings your family may like.

Directions

  1. I soaked thighs in buttermilk for a couple hours or longer.

  2. Pre-heat the air fryer.

  3. Mixed together all the dry ingredients and dredged the wet with buttermilk thighs in the flour mixture.

  4. Sprayed the bottom of the rack with oil.

  5. Placed thighs skin side up in fryer. Lightly drizzled thighs with olive oil.

  6. Set fryer on my Pre-set Chicken. (I think this is 380 degrees for 25 minutes.)

  7. Flip after 15 minutes. Spray again with oil.

  8. Cook for the remainder of the time.

  9. Check internal temperature to assure at least 160 degrees. If it hasn’t reached this internal temp, flip and continue cooking for anywhere from 8-12 minutes before checking again.
