Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Serves 12 people

Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk, yogurt, kefir
  • 3 T sugar cane
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 t. vanilla

Directions

  1. Put th butter in a mixing bowl. Put the bowl in a warm over until the butter is soft

  2. Add the oats, cultured milk and raisins to the melted butter. Mix together with a spoon. Cover the bowl with a towel and leave in a warm place for 8-24.

  3. Add eggs, sugar, vanilla and baking soda and mix together.

  4. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

  5. Drop spoonfuls of the dough on the cookie sheet. Leave space around the cookies, as they will spread when baking.

  6. Bake in a 300 degree over for about 30 minutes or until the cookies are golden.
