Overnight Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 package of yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 3 c. lukewarm water
  • 11 c. of flour, about
  • 1/2 c. melted shortening or oil.

Directions

  1. Soak yeast, water, and sugar to dissolve yeast.
  2. Combine eggs, 1 cup of sugar, salt, and lukewarm water. Beat in about 7 cups of flour, then add shortening.
  3. Beat 1/2 c. flour on bread board, mix at 4:30 p.m.
  4. Knead every hour, 6-7-8-9 til 10:00 p.m.
  5. Make into rolls on cookie sheet, cover with towel. Put in cool room.
  6. In the morning, turn oven on to 315 degrees.
  7. Bake 20 minutes or more till they are nice and brown.
