Ingredients
- 2 c. cake flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 sticks of butter, room temperature
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 5 eggs, room temperature
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- Fresh lemon juice
Directions
- Sift flour and salt. Measure and sift again.
- Mix butter and sugar. Add vanilla and eggs one at a time, scraping down the sides.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
- Make holes in the top of the cake, and spoon lemon juice over the top.
