Wisconsin Macaroni Salad

Ingredients

  • 3 boxes spiral macaroni
  • 2 large carrots
  • 1 onion (red for color)
  • 2 med. green peppers
  • Dressing:
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk

Directions

  1. Cook macaroni as directed on package. Cool.
  2. Dice or grate carrots, peppers, and onion. Add to cooked macaroni.
  3. Mix dressing in order given and pour over macaroni. Let stand for at least 12 hours before serving. Keeps well in refrigerator.
  4. Note: Add add dressing. It may look like too much, but it soaks into the macaroni.
