Ingredients
- 1 lb. round steak - slice in thin strips
- 1 tbsp. paprika
- 2 tbsp. margarine
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 1/2 c. beef broth
- 1 c. sliced green onions - include top
- 2 green peppers - cut in strips
- 2 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- Rice
Directions
- Start rice cooking.
- Cut steak into stripes. Sprinkle meat with paprika and allow to stand while preparing other ingredients.
- Use large skillet. Brown meat in margarine. Add garlic and broth. Cover and simmer up to 30 mins.
- Stir in onions & green peppers. Cover & cook 5 mins.
- Blend in cornstarch, soy sauce, & cold water. Stir thickening into meat and peppers. Stir & cook until it bubbles and becomes clear gravy,
- Take off heat. Add tomato wedges. Stir thoroughly.
- Serve over hot rice.
