Ingredients
- 1 C breadcrumbs
- 1 C milk
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 C chopped onion
- 2 eggs slightly beaten
- 1 1/2 t salt
- 1 t nutmeg
- 1/4 C flour
- 1/4 t pepper
- 1/2 C butter
- 3 beef bullion cubes
- 3 C hot water
- 1 1/2 C light cream
Directions

soften bread crumbs in milk

Mix in beef, onion, eggs and seasonings

shape into 1" balls

Saute meatballs until brown

remove meatballs
-
stir flour into drippings

Dissolve bullion in hot water and mix with rue

add milk and cream
-
cook while stirring over medium heat a few min
-
add meatballs
-
simmer 10-15 minutes until desired consistency

(can add wine & seasoning to sauce-can replace cream with sour cream or blend sour cream with cream or milk)
